Was only okay will not be back they seemed very unhappy to be there and after tipping 7 dollars wasnt expecting to be laughed at for doing nothing but sit there how sad for the company

Food is great, but service is somewhat slow

Perennial Birmingham favorite and legendary local restaurant. Greek food fast and delicious.

We ordered 2 gyro combos around noon for dinner in. The food came out in about 10 mins and hot. The gyro was a bot greasy leaving a puddle on the wax paper below it. The taste was good however it needed a bit more of the hummus on it. Overall it was a great experience and we would definitely eat here again.

The philly steak Baker was SCRUMPTIOUS!

A nice and clean place where it's peaceful and nobody shouts at the top of their lungs and the wait on your food is not that bad either.

Food is always good, but the service at the drive thru needs some help. Not friendly and takes to long, even being only 1 in line

Employees need to be trained on allergies and should not answer if they are not certain. If you are not sure, then say so. Some allergies can be a life of death situation! Thank God it wasn't like that for my husband. Just bad hives and being very uncomfortable for the rest of the day and into the night. Won't go back since we can not trust the information given.

All the food is great but I especially like the cajun ranch wings.

The food was pretty good, but the presentation was a bit off. It seemed like a remodeled Burger King, but tried to feed like a traditional restaurant. The food came in a good amount but was served on styrofoam. It could use a bit of work on the atmosphere but if you just want the food I'd recommend it.

The BEST falafel, hummus, and tabouli EVER!! The absolutely sweetest lady waited on me at the drive thru! That AND quick service!? 5 stars all the way,, this place can't be beat:-)

The food is excellent here! If you're looking for a quick bite, this isn't your place until you have time to kill. They make everything up fresh and it shows! Well worth the wait! My favourites are the chicken and beef shawarmas, and the BBQ chicken baker!

They're supposed to close at 11pm, but they close between 9-10pm sometimes. Chicken is nasty. You'd do better going to buffalo wild wings next door to it for your chicken. Loaded potatoes and salads are good.

I felt like I was eating at my Yia Yia's; the food was excellent. Service was efficient and friendly and helpful. Lots of room to sit and eat.

Always have been a fan of purple onion. First time to this location. Was not disappointed.

Our group of 5 people ordered 5 pitas, the cashier rang up and charged us only for 4 of them. She brought us the 4 pitas and just walked away when we were confused that we were missing part of our order. 10 minutes later we went to the counter to see what was going on and she proceeded to argue with us that we only ordered 4 pitas even tho each of the 5 of us individually ordered. She was very rude and unprofessional. If she would have just admitted her mistake instead of arguing with us we would have had no problem just paying for the pita that was left off and waiting for it to be ready.

hmmm Yummy. Philly sandwich is great and so does the Chilli baker.Recommended.

The first time I ate here was at lunch and I had the Hamburger. They make a great Burger! My wife and I eat here once or twice a month for Dinner. I typically get the Steak Plate its great!! My wife likes the Chicken and Veggie Skewers!! So far everything we have eaten has been really good!! If the prices were a little lower we would eat there a lot more often!

Waited 37 min for my food today. Clean store, and good food but the service was atrocious and rude.

Where else can you get a great piece of lamb or fish for under $12? The homemade Hummus & Mint Tea are addictive.

Food is overpriced, and greasy. The atmosphere of the resturant also leaves something to be desired.

I love the big Baked Potatoes and their mint & peach tea are AMAZING! Burgers are very good too! Everything tastes very genuine and well made!

Good food but chicken was bit dry. Service was okay and food came out in 20 minutes. Restaurant is clean and lots of seating available for dine-in.

I went to this purple onion a few weeks ago got a Philly baker got home there was a piece of a blue latex glove in my potato I called and the lady replaced it no problem. Today I go and what do you know the same guy in the kitchen again that's too cool for his job and left the glove in my food last time. They didn't put my fries in the bag had to go back and wait 10 minutes just for French fries my BLT is so dry and hard I couldn't bite into it much less eat it. Thanks to the old white guy though he was really nice and gave me a free drink for my troubles but this was my last visit.

The service is slow but the food was yummy

Friendly staff, quick service, I'm a regular so they know me and my orders which makes it all the better! I usually order & get the gyro wrap or gyro plate. Enjoy!

Best burgers around. Those steak burgers are amazing. they're fries are good too because they put that good butter salt on them that seasoning. I go every chance I get.

Do not eat the Philly cheesesteak, had one today stale bread, soggy vegetables, and they cheat you out of the full steak patty, not to mention I had about 15 fries in my fry box, such a waste of $11.09. They used to care about the quality when they first opened now, that’s goneDown The drain these days. I wish u could give 0 stars because they’d be below that ...I will Never eat from another purple onion ever again because of this last experience. Just terrible.

I drove 15 minutes to find out their closing hours are wrong. No wonder when I tried to call no one answered. I called at 10:30PM got there at 10:45PM and they were already closed. They should update their closing hours online from midnight to whatever time they actually close. Thankfully Buffalo Wild Wings still cater to customers at this time.

I usually try to dine in places when I'm out of that are not in my hometown and this is one of those places. I've eaten here twice during my stay. Everything was fantastic! Prices are good, food was great. Everyone was friendly. I would definitely come back here again If I'm staying in the area!

They have a new employee (old white man) who is not competent enough to multi-task. He asked me at the drive through what I would have then goes on to help someone at the desk. Clearly, I was first. If this is the result we get because you all are opening a restaurant downtown, then this will be the last time I come here. He is trash. I need the regular person working the drive through back. I've been coming here for years. Very very disappointed!

Waited 20 minutes at drive through for our food and was given the wrong food. Went inside and the lady just argued with us that that’s what we ordered. Not worth the time if they are not gonna admit their mistake.

Honestly, i would prefer purple onions at green spring.This location have the worst wings.I ordered regular plain wings today and the taste was so horrible it was like eating raw chicken i had to throw it away.It really ruined my lunch.The owner of this place needs to really level up the game.Never buying again from this place unless the rating changes to above 4.4.

Excellent service and the food is delicious!

I have came to this place on multiple occasions and was able to sub my fries for salad but on this night they said they aren’t able to do such so I was charged additional for it. Although I didn’t want fries. On the menu it states that a salad is $4.95 but fries is $3.95 why couldn’t they just add the difference to the total cost and not charge me to full amount of a side item if I’m only subbing it. It’s lettuce!! Come on! I will not be returning to this location. Their food here is the worst out of all the purple onions in Birmingham honestly.

There was no manager here when we came with our kids... took 30+ minutes to get our food, mostly because the waitress/buss boy/order taker (dine in and drive through) was so busy that she gave some teenagers who came 10 minutes after us our food on accident...I'll probably go back (for a certain menu item that I am extremely nostalgic for) but not with my hungry kids- and definitely not around dinner rush time.IMO the owners are showing no pride in running their business like this, and they should be ashamed for demanding so much from their employees AND their customers.

The Gyro plate was amazing. The meat was a perfect combination of crisp and juicy. I do a lot of install work in restaurants...This place has the cleanest kitchen I have ever been in!!

Other than the one on green springs, this is the best purple onion and this location has a ton of seating, which is nice.

Staff is great. Friendly and knowledgeable. Always have a smile and greet us. Food is very good and served at the right temperature.

Food here is great but it took way too long to get it....

Just average tasting food as far as I'm concerned. Drive through is not efficient as both the car ahead of me and myself had to order at the window, the car ahead of me was still waiting for their food when i was already served.

Good place for some quick mediterranean food. Clean. Basic. Reasonable.
